On the afternoon of August 26, the third "Guangdong Province Undergraduate Psychology Students' Psychological Counseling Skills Competition" concluded successfully. The event was sponsored by Guangdong Provincial Undergraduate Psychology Teaching Steering Committee and Guangdong Primary and Secondary School Mental Health Guidance Center, and hosted by the Department of Psychology, College of Arts and Sciences, Beijing Normal University. The competition aimed to enhance the psychological counseling skills of undergraduate psychology majors in Guangdong Province while fostering their awareness of national needs and their ability to actively serve the society.
Competition Highlights
The competition featured a total of 48 undergraduate psychology students and 16 leading instructors from 16 universities across the province. A total of 48 awards were presented, including 5 first prizes, 7 second prizes, 12 third prizes and 24 excellence awards. Additionally, three special awards were given, the most affinity award, the most empathic award, and the most influential award. After two days of intense competition, students from our college achieved outstanding results !
Liu Zhouyao and Liao Zheng won the first prize and the second prize respectively, and Yu Ke won the third prize. The instructors of Liu Zhouyao, Liao Zheng and Yu Ke are Chen Yuming, Zhu Chen and Guo Tianyou respectively.
Furthermore, Liao Zheng also won two special awards: the most approachable and the most influential.
With this, the third Guangdong Province undergraduate psychology students Psychological counseling skills Competition has successful concluded. This contest is not just a showcase of skills but also an opportunity for spiritual collision and personal growth. We believe that in the future, our students will use this competition as a new starting point, striving for greater achievements in the field of psychology, and contributing their knowledge and efforts to advancement of social mental health.
