About

Since its establishment in 2015, the School of Psychology has experienced rapid growth. Currently, we are authorized to grant doctoral and master's degrees in psychology as a first-level discipline, as well as professional master's degrees in applied psychology, and we operate a postdoctoral research station. The school has developed four distinctive and advantageous areas: developmental and educational psychology, cognitive neuroscience, emotion and health psychology, and psychometrics and applications. Our faculty includes several nationally recognized talents and promising young scholars, forming a team of 53 full-time teachers with a reasonable age structure and strong professional backgrounds.

The school is equipped with first-class brain science research facilities in China, including MEG, MRI, EEG, and NIRS, and has established 47 specialized laboratories. Over the past five years, we have achieved remarkable and high-quality results in terms of national and provincial project undertakings and funding, and in the publication of SSCI/SCI and CSSCI papers.

Looking ahead, the School of Psychology will continue to strengthen basic research oriented towards applications. Rooted in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, we are committed to exploring the mysteries of the human mind and addressing major national and urgent social issues. We aim to produce high-level research outcomes, build high-quality research teams and platforms, and cultivate innovative psychological scientists and excellent social psychology service professionals to serve society to the fullest extent.

As the ancient saying goes, "The way ahead is long; I see no ending, yet high and low, I’ll search with my will unbending."
