General Research Interest

With approaches of psychophysiology and neuroimaging, my research covers a relatively wide range of topics on system-level neural mechanisms of human brain, either under healthy or pathological conditions. Specifically, my previous and present studies involve the following key words: (i) functional wise: working memory, attention, emotion, language, vision, motor function, reward, stress, and arousal regulation; (ii) methodology wise: electroencephalography (EEG), task and resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI); (iii) population wise: healthy adults, aging, adolescent, prenatal alcohol and cocaine exposure, depression, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, cervical dystonia, amblyopia, and stroke.

·         Examining the switching asymmetry of attention shift in human verbal working memory and investigating its neural basis by functional MRI and EEG
