On October 30, 2020, the fourth session of the 12th National Congress of the Chinese Psychological Society was held in the form of online video, and the Chairperson-designate was elected by means of communication voting. On November 8 of the same year, the 13th session of the 12th Executive Council Meeting of Chinese Psychological Association was held in Beijing, which was held to issue and count the votes of the Chairman-designate election. Under the supervision of the Board of Supervisors of the Chinese Psychological Society, the new Chairman-designate was elected and announced.
Professor Li Hong was elected as the president-elect of the Chinese Psychological Society on October 18, 2019 at the third Session of the 12th National Congress of Members. In accordance with the Regulations on the Election of the Council of the Chinese Psychological Association, he became the current Chairman of the Standing Council after the meeting of the Standing Council on November 8 this year. Introduction of Professor Li Hong
Professor of the School of Psychology of Shenzhen University, member of Chinese Communist Party, one of the first national candidates of the "New Century Millions of Talents Project", member of the Discipline Evaluation Group of the State Council, deputy director of the College Psychology Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, and the current president of the Chinese Psychological Association. In 2014, he joined Shenzhen University. In 2015, he founded the School of Psychology and Sociology of Shenzhen University and served as the first dean. In three years, he led the school to win more than 30 national projects, published more than 400 SCI/SSCI/CSSCI papers, and successfully applied for the master's degree in applied psychology, the master's degree in first-level discipline of psychology, and the doctoral degree in first-level discipline of psychology. In 2016, he founded Shenzhen Psychological Society and served as its president. In 2017, he founded and served as the director of the Emotional and Health Psychology Professional Committee of the Chinese Psychological Society.
Professor Li Hong is mainly engaged in the research of cognitive neuropsychology, cognitive development, emotional cognition, and core quality of Students. He has published more than 210 papers in international famous SCI/SSCI, and more than 280 papers in Chinese famous journals such as Science in China, Chinese Science Bulletin, Acta Psychologica Sinica, and Journal of Psychological Science, as well as 10 textbooks and works. He has been awarded the first prize of the Second Outstanding Achievement in Humanities and Social Sciences honored by the Ministry of Education, the first prize of the fifth National Excellent Achievement in Education Science, and more than 10 other provincial awards. He was also named Scientific Chinese Person of the Year 2014.
Introduction to Chinese Psychological Society
Chinese Psychological Society (CPS), founded in 1921, is one of the earliest academic organizations in China's existing national societies, with more than 13,000 members at present. As a group member of the China Association for Science and Technology, the Chinese Psychological Society (CSA) joined the International Union for Psychological Science (IUPSYS) in 1980 and the International Association for Applied Psychology (IAAP) in 1984.
The Board of Governors of the Chinese Psychological Association is elected for a term of four years. Since the 10th Board of Governors held in December 2009, the "three-chair" system has been implemented, which means the former president, the current president and the chairman-designate co-chair the work of the society. The Chinese Psychological Society has set up 36 professional committees (including 4 preparatory committees), 12 working committees and 2 editorial committees of journals according to different branches of psychology.
