比利时根特大学心理学博士，深圳大学心理学院特聘教授、博士生导师，深圳大学心理学院院长。担任中国心理学会理事、广东省认知科学学会会长、广东省心理学会副会长和中国心理学会心智过程与建模专业委员会副主任委员，以及多个学术组织分委员会委员和理事；担任《心理学报》和Neuropsychologia等国内外期刊期刊编委。长期致力于建立人类心理认知过程的计算模型，近期主要聚焦在人类认知灵活性的计算建模研究和计算精神病学；同时，采用多种实验方法和技术验证计算模型的预测并探讨心理认知过程的脑神经活动机制。近五年主持和参与国家自然科学（社会科学）基金项目多项。已在Psychological Review, Cognitive Psychology, Cell Reports, PLOS Biology和Journal of Neuroscience等国际学术期刊发表多篇论文。相关研究成果获“省部级哲学社会科学优秀成果一等奖”。
